Job Club – Find Success

JOB CLUB: FIND SUCCESS

Mondays 9-10AM & 12-1PM

Participants will focus on the steps involved with job-seeking, explore different job markets,
and learn to promote themselves. Other topics covered include using social media to seek job
opportunities, mock interviews, proper dress and communication skills, opportunities to network
with industry professionals, and staying positive in times of change

OIC Job Fair

Looking for a new start! OIC is sponsoring a job fair at Grace Temple Church of the Living God. The job fair will be held on Thursday, February 24th, 10 am – 2 pm. The job fair is open to everyone. Employers are reentrant-friendly and looking for qualified workers.

Hiring Event – FedEx Ground

Khadiyjah Muhammad, Talent Acquisition Coordinator for FedEx Ground will be visiting with OIC on March 12, 2020, March 26, 2020, April 16, 2020 and April 30, 2020 from 8:30 am – 2: 00 pm. to talk about the benefits and opportunities that FedEx offers. Get your resumes ready and be prepared to talk about your work experience and job qualities that would make you an ideal candidate for employment with FedEx Ground. Industrial Truck (Forklift) Certification

These classes are prerequisites to become eligible for OIC-sponsored forklift certification classes at Dauphin County Technical School, Cumberland County Technical School, or York Technical Institute. Students are required to complete a two-day pre-vocational class at OIC. During this class you will learn the fundamentals of operating a basic sit down industrial truck. If you compete this course successfully, you will be eligible to attend a one or two day classroom/skills training session with one of our vocational providers. You will be issued a certificate of completion and a forklift operator’s card.

U.S. Census – Hiring Event

1 pm -4 pm

Hiring for Census Takers (Full & Part time) starting pay $21.50 hour, also looking for Bi-lingual candidates.  Work actually starts in April and ends approximately in August.

Volt Workforce Solutions – Hiring Event

The Volt Workforce Solutions is hiring immediately.  The pay rates and shifts are as follows:

  • Picker Packer$15.50 hour – 3rd shift (S-Th 9:30 pm-6 am)

  • Picker Packer – $15.10 hour – 2nd shift (M-F 3 pm-11:30 pm)

  •  General Warehouse Support – $12-13.50 hour

The event will be held at OIC on December 18th(Wednesday) from 10 am – 2 pm.
